Our practice is committed to using the latest proven technologies for patient care. Here are some of the technologies that we use:
DEXIS Digital Radiography
When you have x-rays taken in our office, we will be using the award-winning Dexis digital x-ray system.
Dexis is high performance technology that’s environmentally friendly (no more film or chemicals) and reduces the patient’s exposure to radiation. Patients will see the digital x-ray images immediately as they appear on a computer screen.
I am able to enlarge the images, change the contrast and shading and see potential problem areas with much greater accuracy. This technology is very beneficial for diagnosis, treatment planning and including the patient in shared decision-making.
Using the software-based digital radiography’s image enhancement functions such as magnification, brightness control, and heightened contrast, you can bring out aspects of the x-ray that simply aren’t visible on film.

Precise LTM Diode Laser
Our practice utilizes Precise® LTM state-of-the-art diode laser technology. The laser assists us in maintaining oral soft tissue health, including the management of periodontal pockets, the treatment of canker sores and cold sores, and in oral biopsy procedures.
Diagnodent Laser Fluorescence for Cavity Detection
DIAGNOdent aids in the detection of cavities. Research indicates that, while 80% of cavities occur in the occlusal anatomy or biting surface, a significant percentage of these lesions go virtually undetected using conventional protocols. The Diagnodent can detect very small cavities in their earliest stages, enabling us to protect and preserve your tooth structure.
Orthodontic Treatment with Invisalign
Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. Invisalign is a nearly invisible, comfortable, and convenient treatment option for patients who want straighter teeth.
Invisalign takes the information we provide and then uses advanced computer technology to translate our treatment plan into a series of aligners — as few as 12 or as many as 48. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and only taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each set of aligners with the next set, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place.

Demandforce email and Text Appointment Reminder System
The Demandforce email and text message service will remind you of the date and time of your next visit. Several days prior to the appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail or text message, whichever is more convenient for you. If you have any questions about your appointment you can simply respond by e-mail and we will contact you. Or, you only need to click on “confirm” to let us know that you are aware of your appointment.
Zoom! In Office and Take Home Whitening
The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure that is safe, effective and delivers immediate results. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
Our practice also offers Zoom! treatments via the traditional leave-in tray system. Patients will experience the same quality whitening results delivered at home over the course of several weeks.
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available for patients and visitors. We have established a dedicated network separate from our office wireless system to ensure that all confidential patient information is completely secure.
Surgical Grade Magnification
Dental procedures are essentially microsurgery and our practice utilizes HiRes® Plus prismatic loupes from Surgitel. This level of magnification allows for incredibly precise and esthetic results. Our dental loupes are also able to incorporate a beam of light from an LED power source to enhance the doctor’s field of vision and improve patient outcomes.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous oxide gas is an effective method to significantly reduce mild to moderate anxiety during dental procedures. Advantages of nitrous oxide include a proven safety record, its quick onset with very few side effects and the fact that you can drive immediately after your appointment.
Nitrous oxide is the most frequently used sedation method and has been used safely in our office for over twenty years. Nitrous oxide sedation does not involve any use of narcotics and you remain completely conscious and able to breathe on your own.
ViziLite Oral Cancer Screening
Our practice utilizes the ViziLite® Plus oral lesion identification and marking system -one of the newest tool in the fight against oral disease.
ViziLite® Plus, from Zila Pharmaceuticals, combines the oral screening technology of ViziLite, an advanced light technology to help detect oral abnormalities, with TBlue®. TBlue is the only patented pharmaceutical-grade form of toluidine blue that has been cleared by the FDA for use in marking oral lesions identified during a ViziLite examination.
This important screening test is simple, painless and affordable.
Keeping Our Water System Safe with an Amalgam Separator
The SolmeteX Hg5® system removes amalgam from dental vacuum lines before it enters the wastewater stream. The mercury is trapped in a removable and recyclable cartridge, thus ensuring the amalgam is not incinerated, does not enter our water supply or end up in a landfill.
The Hg5 collects the amalgam; the spent cartridge is packaged with provided packaging and labeling materials and shipped via UPS® to Mercury Waste Solutions, an US EPA certified mercury recycler, where the mercury is recycled.
Our office recycles our filters every 6 months according to the manufacturer recommendations and copies of the recycling certificates are available at our office.
Dentrix Electronic Healthcare Record and Claims
With nearly 30,000 installations in dental practices and 20 years of experience Dentrix is the undisputed leader in practice management technology.
With a few clicks of the mouse, we create insurance claims in Dentrix, validate the information included, and electronically send your claim to your insurance company. eClaims increase efficiency by verifying that all the necessary components are included with our claims. Everything we may need to complete your claim, including digital x-rays, periodontal charts and photographs, can be attached right from within our practice management software.
eClaims, unlike paper claims, are transmitted in a secure, HIPAA-compliant format. Your personal information is never in jeopardy of being compromised.
Self-Contained Purified Water System
Our practice utilizes a self-contained water system for all of our dental units. Only specially treated and purified water is used during your treatment as our dental chairs have no connection to the city water supply.
Dexcam Intraoral Camera
DEXcam™ 3, a USB-2 intra-oral video camera, helps us achieve superior clinical diagnostics and functions as an excellent tool for patient education and communication.
DEXcam 3 features a seven-element glass optical lens, four bright LEDs and an internal prism that provide optimal lighting and a Sony® CCD sensor for sharp, high-definition image quality.
Our staff can record images with a simple press of a button, then save the images into the patient record with a two-second press.
