About Dr. Esra Salihoglu Yener

Dr. Esra Salihoglu Yener was born in Istanbul and has a degree from the University of Marmara in Istanbul. After graduating from dental school in 2004, she worked as a general dentist in private practice from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Yener defended her Ph.D. in 2009 at the University of Yeditepe. After completing her Ph.D. and residency, she worked as a prosthodontist in a private practice in Istanbul between 2009 and 2013.

Dr. Yener was accepted to the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists (ASPID) at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California (USC) in 2014 and graduated from the program in May 2016.

Dr. Yener joined the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) as a full-time faculty upon graduation from USC. She taught comprehensive treatment planning, fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant dentistry, and operative dentistry in preclinical and clinical settings. She was teaching and overseeing the Interprofessional Education (IPE) Series at HSDM to help students understand the importance of the link between oral and systemic health.

Dr. Yener practiced at Harvard Dental Center Faculty Group Practice for three years and provided high-quality prosthetic, implant, esthetic, and general dentistry procedures.

Dr. Yener is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the Academy of Dental Materials, the International Association for Dental Research, the USC Alumni Association, and the Harvard Faculty Club.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Yener enjoys spending her time outdoors, running, swimming, and reading. She also enjoys calligraphy and has a collection of fountain pens and bookmarks. Dr. Yener lives in the Bay Area with her husband, daughter, and son.
